Chinese export dumping hurts margins.
China's exports are still powered mainly by price competitiveness, but export price indices and producer prices have been falling for an extended period while export volumes and surpluses hit records. That signals dumping and margin destruction, and Middle East-driven cost inflation forces Chinese exporters to cut margins further because they cannot easily compete on premium quality.

Chinese exports win if tariffs fall.
Tariffs are at a high water mark and the weighted average is likely coming down, and if tariffs come off, the biggest winners are some exports out of China; President Trump's focus on affordability and removal of some tariffs supports this.
